How to enrol your child in Footsteps

Before you decide Footsteps Nursery is the right nursery for you and your child please come and visit us. You can either ring and make an appointment or just call in. We have an open door policy however we discourage visitors between 12.00 midday and 1.00pm as this is the children’s protected lunch time. If you make an appointment you will be able to speak to the most appropriate senior member of staff who will be able to answer all your questions.

Once you have decided that this is the perfect place for you and your little one just complete the registration form and all relevant paperwork, staff are on hand to help you with anything you may be unsure about. Once you have paid your registration fee your place is secure and free settling in sessions can begin. The length of each settling in sessions will increase until your child is happy to stay in nursery without you, and you are happy to leave him/her.

Every time you and your child visit nursery your child will be developing a reassurance that nursery is a happy, safe place to be. He/she will realise that you are happy and comfortable to be nursery and that mummy or daddy will always come back to collect them. This period requires lots of patience from everyone, as adults we may know all these things but we have to give our children time to learn them for themselves.
